Daniel Benson Memorial Scholarship
Turner County is home to many dedicated citizens, including Daniel, who was a hardworking farmer, cattle raiser, and trucking company owner. A devoted husband and father, Daniel worked tirelessly throughout his life, yet always made time enjoyable activities such as playing darts, golfing, exploring the Black Hills, and coaching his children's sports teams. This scholarship is awarded to a Turner County student who exemplifies a strong work ethic and a willingness to lend a helping hand, just as Daniel did.
2025 Scholarship Application
Those eligible for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:

Graduate from a school in Turner County

Attend a 4-year college or vocational school (in or out of state)

Must be a responsible, dependable, and hardworking individual.
To apply for this scholarship, please write an essay expressing your work ethic & willingness to help and step up when needed. (The essay should be between 250 words minimum and 500 words maximum.)
